Week of Prayer for Christian Unity – The Week of Prayer for Christian Unity Catholic service with Bishop Henry will take place during the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity 2016 on Thursday Jan. 21st, 2016 at 7:00-8:30pm at St. Mary’s Cathedral, Calgary. Pray with other Christian leaders and Bishop Henry as we explore the week’s theme that together Christians of all denominations are “Called to proclaim the mighty acts of the Lord” (1 Pet. 2:9). Reception will follow.

Canadian Catholic Organization for Development and Peace – Save the Date: The Share Lent Workshop will be held on Saturday, January 23rd from 10 am to 3 pm at Corpus Christi Church, 404 Northmount Place NW, Calgary.  We are continuing our ‘Create a Climate of Change’ campaign into the season of reflection, prayer, fasting and almsgiving. We will explore how to use the freely available materials to enhance our celebration of the season. More details early January. An Evening of Eucharistic Adoration with Silence & Sacred Music – In solidarity with those attending the Eucharistic Congress in Cebu, all in the Diocese of Calgary are invited and encouraged to spend time in prayer before the Blessed Sacrament during this week. An evening of Eucharistic Adoration with silence and sacred music will take place at St. Mary’s Cathedral on Wednesday January 27, 2016 from 6pm – 8pm. You are welcome to attend for the entire time or in part.

The 33rd Annual Outdoor Way of the Cross – Outdoor Way of the Cross will be celebrated on Good Friday, March 25th, 2016. Please join us on this walk through the inner city streets of Calgary, listening to scripture readings, music, and reflecting on the suffering, passion and death of our Lord. Sacrament of Reconciliation – As part of the Year of Mercy, the Diocese of Calgary invites you to re-discover the meaning of the sacrament of Reconciliation in your life.  In addition to the regular parish schedule, the sacrament of Reconciliation will be available at parishes throughout the Diocese of Calgary all the Wednesdays of Advent from 7:30 – 8:30pmhttp://www.JubileeofMercy.ca

Transitions – A 15-week peer support program for those recently separated or divorced.  Participants will meet every Tuesday to reflect upon and discuss topics such as self-esteem, stress, anger, guilt, blame, loneliness, forgiveness, blended families and more.  The next program begins in February, 2016 (7:00pm – 9:00pm).  For more information or to register, call 403-218-5505.

Project Rachel – Offers a journey of healing and reconciliation for men and women who are suffering distress from a past abortion experience.
