Baptismal Preparation Information and Dates

Baptism

Welcome to our Baptismal Preparation Program!

For families of first babies, our program consists of an initial interview with one of our pastors and/or pastoral assistant, an evening workshop and finally the celebration of your baby’s baptism. For families of second and consequent babies, the program consists of an interview with one of our pastors and/or pastoral assistant at home, at the office or by phone and an optional attendance at a workshop. A folder of materials related to baptism is provided. It is necessary for both parents to familiarize themselves with the materials for a better appreciation of the workshop. After studying the materials, you can phone the office to pre-register for the workshop. The workshop consists of a discussion of materials, review of symbols of baptism, a short presentation by one of our pastors and an overview of how and when your baby’s baptism will take place. After the workshop, you can phone the church to confirm the date of the baptism.

Baptisms are celebrated on the 4th Sunday at 12:15 pm and during Mass on the 1st and 2nd  Sundays that is: Sundays at 9 am, 11 am and Saturday at 5 pm. Please note that there are no baptisms during Lent. A Thanksgiving Donation is suggested as an expression of our appreciation for God’s gift of baptism. Families from other parishes are required to obtain written permission from their respective pastors.

A workshop will be held on September 26, 2015.  Please contact Fr. Edmund at the parish office to register.

We look forward to meeting you and sharing in this blessed time of your lives!
